Manuscript Submission

Authors should submit their manuscripts via the JCN Online Submission System. Ensure that the manuscript is formatted correctly before submission. Incomplete or improperly formatted submissions may be returned without review.

Article Types

JCN accepts the following article types:

  • Original Research: Reports of novel clinical or experimental studies.
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive overviews of specific topics in nephrology.
  • Case Reports: Detailed analyses of unique clinical cases.
  • Short Communications: Concise reports of preliminary research findings.
  • Editorials: Perspective articles on emerging topics in nephrology.
  • Letters to the Editor: Critical comments or clarifications on previously published articles.

Manuscript Preparation

All manuscripts should be written in English and formatted according to the following structure:

Title Page

  • Title of the manuscript (concise and informative).
  • Full names of all authors.
  • Affiliations (department, institution, city, country).
  • Corresponding author details (email and phone number).

Abstract

  • Maximum 250 words.
  • Structured format: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
  • Include 4-6 relevant keywords.

Main Text

For research articles, structure as follows:

  • Introduction: Brief background and study objectives.
  • Methods: Detailed methodology including ethical approvals.
  • Results: Present findings clearly with tables and figures.
  • Discussion: Interpretation of results in the context of existing literature.
  • Conclusion: Summary of findings and implications.

References

  • Use NLM style for citations.
  • List references in numerical order (e.g., 1, 2, 3).
  • Include DOI or URL for online sources.

Figures and Tables

  • All figures must be high-resolution (300 DPI).
  • Tables should be in an editable format (not images).
  • Provide captions for all tables and figures.

Ethical Considerations

All research must comply with ethical guidelines:

  • Studies involving humans must have Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval.
  • Animal studies must follow the ARRIVE Guidelines.
  • Informed consent must be obtained for patient data or images.

JCN follows a double-blind peer review process:

Upon acceptance, authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) of $2589 USD. This fee supports journal operations, peer review, and open-access publishing.
