The Journal of Clinical Nephrology (JCN) follows a structured submission process to ensure high-quality peer-reviewed publications. Authors must adhere to the following guidelines for manuscript submission and preparation.
Submission Process
Authors should submit their manuscripts via the JCN Online Submission System. The submission must include:
- A properly formatted manuscript.
- Cover letter stating the significance of the study.
- Ethical approval statement (if applicable).
- Conflict of interest disclosure.
- Graphical abstract (if required).
Manuscript Types
JCN accepts various manuscript types, including:
- Original Research: Full-length articles reporting novel research.
- Review Articles: Comprehensive analyses of nephrology-related topics.
- Case Reports: Reports of unique clinical cases with educational value.
- Short Communications: Brief reports of preliminary research findings.
- Editorials: Opinion-based articles on current developments.
- Letters to the Editor: Concise commentary on previously published articles.
Manuscript Formatting
All manuscripts must be prepared in English and formatted as follows:
Title Page
- Title: Concise and informative.
- Author Information: Full names, affiliations, and corresponding author details.
- Keywords: 4-6 relevant terms.
Abstract
- Maximum 250 words.
- Structured format: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
Main Text
For research articles, follow this structure:
- Introduction: Context, significance, and objectives of the study.
- Methods: Detailed methodology and ethical considerations.
- Results: Clear presentation of findings with tables and figures.
- Discussion: Interpretation of results in the context of existing literature.
- Conclusion: Summary of key findings and implications.
References
- Follow NLM style.
- Number citations sequentially (e.g., 1, 2, 3).
- Include DOIs or URLs for online sources.
Figures and Tables
- Figures must be in high-resolution (300 DPI).
- Tables should be in an editable format, not as images.
- Provide descriptive captions for all figures and tables.
Ethical Requirements
All research must comply with ethical standards, including:
- Human Studies: Require Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval.
- Animal Studies: Must follow the ARRIVE Guidelines.
- Informed Consent: Required for studies involving patient data.
Review Process
JCN follows a double-blind peer review process:
- Initial editorial screening and plagiarism check.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

Plagiarism and Originality
